Morgan appeared alongside other actors in the documentary film Safe Sex for Men and Women that focuses on AIDS prevention and awareness. Morgan contributed a part of her earnings for the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She is a Member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan spearheaded other fund raising projects and also gave testimony at a special Congressional panel discussing AIDS awareness. She sits member of the board of Governors of APLA as well as the Board of Directors of Amfar. The organization has asked her to take over the role of the Surgeon General who was formerly C. Everett Koop at the AIDS-related gatherings. Steve Bell, a news anchor, has also been host of a AIDS Awareness Special. Ted Koppell and Morgan have been on Nightline at least twice, to discuss AIDS. Morgan has been nominated by the Emmys for Diane English's Murphy Brown special written especially for Morgan. She co-starred in the ABC TV series Your Money or Your Wife with Joan Rivers. She then started the summer by starring in Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner and also starred Cindy Williams and Marla Gibbs. In her next role, Harmony Gold produced Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan also appeared in the psychological thriller produced for USA Network. The film received one of the greatest ratings of all time.
